Volleyball has been a part of Mica’s life since the age of 10 and remains one of her greatest passions. The life skills, relationships, and values she has gained through the sport are truly invaluable. Mica is a proud Five Star Volleyball alumna and was a four-year varsity player at Fort Lupton High School. She went on to play college volleyball on scholarship in both Montana and California. After returning to Colorado, she began her coaching career in 2007 with Five Star, along with coaching at several high school programs over the years. Throughout her coaching journey, Mica has had the privilege of working alongside many incredible individuals who have helped her grow both as a coach and mentor. She is especially proud that many of the young women she has coached have gone on to become coaches themselves. Known for her high energy and high expectations, Mica is passionate about helping athletes discover and embrace their love for volleyball, while also learning the life lessons the sport offers. Outside of coaching, she still enjoys playing the game whenever possible, as well as weight training, spending time outdoors, and making memories with her two beautiful children and her family.
